Bringing Larkspur's History to Life What's in Store: April 12th and 26th, History tours led by Sue and Dick Cunningham On April 12th, interested walkers will meet at City Hall at 10am for a tour of downtown Larkspur, led by Dick Cunningham. The tour, lasting about two hours, will visit a building where "a creek runs through it" as well as the site of a great safe-cracking escapade. Dick's research into Larkspur's history will entertain and educate participants on this free tour. On April 26th, Sue Cunningham will gather participants at the same 10 o'clock hour, but this time, meeting at the valley oak on West Baltimore Street, just off Magnolia. This tour will also run two hours, and as you walk the historic streets, "Sue will show you how to spot an older home and identify the time it was built by its siding, window treatment, shingles or even garden plants." In the event of extreme rain, the tours will be postponed. Note: information excerpted from the TCT article by Jack Wilson, March 23, 2008. Click here for a complete Centennial Year Calendar.
