CYNTHIA HUISMAN
City Clerk

Cynthia Huisman joined the City of Larkspur as Deputy City Clerk in April of 2001. She previously served as the Deputy Town Clerk for the Town of Fairfax. Cynthia lives in Petaluma with her husband, a kitchen designer. Her interests outside of work include gardening, reading, and spending time with her grown daughter.

It is the City Clerk's responsibility to maintain City records including ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other legal documents. In addition, she maintains the City Council's minutes and prepares the City Council agenda, both of which can be accessed by clicking here.

It is also the responsibility of the Clerk to advertise for vacancies on the many City boards and commissions and schedule interviews for applicants with the City Council. In addition, Mrs. Huisman administers City elections, and processes and maintains records for the Fair Political Practices Commission filings.

Mrs. Huisman also supervises the administration of the Customer Service Center, the functions of which include issuing building and other permits and business licenses, processing registrations for recreation activities, and providing staff support to City departments.
